Creating Instructional Systems Using the WWW

created for SIALT, 1996

This is a presentation given to the members of the Summer Institute on Advanced Learning Technologies, sponsored by the Consortium of Courseware Engineers, summer 1996.

The purpose of it was to provide a brief outline of how the World Wide Web could be used to present instruction more effectively than many traditional classroom methods. By today's standards, it is extremely dated, but please remember that in 1996, the idea of using the web for educational delivery was not explored.

It is best observed using a frames and JAVA capable browser, hooked up to a helper application which plays .avi audio/video files.

With all that said, here is the outline of the presentation.
